Our Story
During the summer of 2016 and between thousands of people from all over the world attending a 3-day PTC conference in Boston, the unimaginable happened. Carla, living in Florida at the time, and Sebastian coming from Germany, would have never guessed that they were about to meet the love of their lives during those three days. Introduced to each other by a co-worker, they only exchanged a few words before they went back to work during the busy conference days. From the moment he saw Carla, Sebastian liked her... At the end of the last day Sebastian invited Carla to join him and some co-workers for dinner, but she had already left to the airport for her flight back to Florida. At least that is what she told him., she was still in Boston...

Fast forward two years in the summer of 2018, Sebastian moved to Boston to start a new chapter of his life and a new job for PTC., but little did he know that Carla made the same decision a year earlier. During the first day in his new life, Sebastian attended a new hire training in the customer visit center. At the same time, Carla (like always) felt the need for something sweet. She walked to the same place with the mission of stealing some chocolate from the customer visit center coffee bar. As Sebastian was walking out of the meeting room, Carla ran into him with her hands full of chocolate and in her beautiful and friendly way she said, "Hey, welcome to Boston!", to what Sebastian answered "Oh, thank you!" and Carla kept walking down the hallway back to the next building, where her office was . During the following weeks Carla and Sebastian met at company events, ate lunch together, and the occasional lunch dates became a few drinks after work, and eventually dinner dates.

Three years later in the summer of 2021, Sebastian asked Carla out for dinner with the excuse that they had not been out on a nice date for a while because of the pandemic. Suspicious but without knowing the real reason for the dinner, Carla changed her original Santarpio's plans for the night and agreed to the evening plan. Friday night came and Sebastian was more nervous than ever before in his life. After a wonderful dinner in one of the nicest restaurants in the Boston Seaport, he suggested to walk along the water. While walking through a small park and taking a turn on the Harbor walk, there it was... Tons of candles and flowers right by the water, with the beautiful Boston skyline at night in the background. As they arrived, Sebastian got down on one knee and popped the question! With tears of joy and still not really knowing what was happening, Carla says "YES!".
And here we are inviting you to celebrate our story and our future as husband and wife.
