El Salvador Airport

El Salvador International Airport Saint Oscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdamez (SAL)

On the plane to El Salvador, you will be given a sheet of paper to fill out for customs. This will be required to leave the airport. When you arrive you will head directly to the immigration line, where you will need your passport, the customs paper mentioned above, and $15 for a temporary tourist visa (card or cash, but we recommend cash). After completing immigration, you will get your bags from baggage claim and exit through one final line where you will hand them the customs paper and proceed outside. The process is quick and easy and airport personnel are available if help is needed.

You can find good information about the airport below:

If you Are Traveling from Europe to El Salvador through the United States

If you are traveling from Europe to El Salvador with a connecting flight through the United States, you will need to fill an ESTA application to go through customs in the US. While most flights consider it, make sure you have at least a 2 hour layover to have enough time to go through immigration. If you have any questions on the ESTA application, let us know!

Traveling through Canada

Canada requires to submit an ETA application similar to the ESTA application in the US. You can find the link for the online ETA application below. Like traveling through the US we would recommend at least 2 hours of layover time to go through the immigration process in Canada.
